Erin + Jesse | The Venue at Roseoak, Petal MS

Erin & Jesse Hinton. Established on 10.09.2020 at the Roseoak Venue in Petal, MS. 

The wedding was put to the test when Mississippi got news of an incoming hurricane their wedding week (yikes!!). Not only that, the cone of impact was slated to hit over their exact wedding location. Even if it managed to miss us, the rain was forecasted all day – which was heartbreaking as the couple had planned an outdoor ceremony right under the signature oak of Roseoak Venue. Well, come wedding day and the weather could not have been more perfect. With a soft cloud cover and peeks of sunshine, Erin + Jesse were blessed to say their vows before the ones who loved them best. 

Erin’s sister, Alyssa was supposed to be the maid of honor, but due to the pandemic, she couldn’t be here in person, but… she did get passed around via Facetime throughout the day!! It was so much fun including her in family formals and watching the sisters talk during the bride’s getting ready!

The couple had opted for a first look at the beginning of their day, and as sweet as it was and amazing to have so much time for photos, the groom’s reaction at the ceremony was even better. Seeing his bride ride over in a horse-drawn carriage and walk down the grassy aisle with her special dads, well, watching it all unfold was heartwarming, to say the least.

The couple met at an Alabama vs. Mississippi State football game and were introduced by one of their mutual friends – who also happened to be a groomsman in the wedding! Jesse is a lineman at Chain Electric and Erin is an EMT. Because they were working out of cities two hours apart, they could only see each other on the weekends throughout their engagement season. Now, they need to be separated no more!!
