Adriana + Robby | USM, Long Beach Engagement

These two beautiful Puerto Ricans originally had their wedding planned for today, but covid postponed it. Thankfully, too, as soon after that decision, Robby was sent to military school in Mississippi. Adriana’s a medical physicist and flew here over Christmas week… and that’s how I met them and this Long Beach engagement session came to be!

This session actually came to be much earlier, like 2004 early when they first met. They started dating in 2015, and got engaged last year during her birthday party! I asked about their favorite things to do together in my pre-session questionnaire and they said they are pretty much up for anything. They weren’t lying either. Running, spinning, dipping, cuddling, sitting in cold sand… if I had an idea, they made it happen and I’m so in love with these images!

Because they wanted a nature-y peaceful place, we planned their session to start at the University of Southern Mississippi’s in Long Beach. After visiting one of my favorite willow trees there, we headed over to St. Thomas next door for some golden glowy light in their courtyard. Finally, we crossed the street and finished off their engagement session at the beach. Can’t go wrong with the beach!

They’re both such radiant souls and wayyyy too much fun to be around. To get her photo-ready, Beauty by Patricia Arroyo dolled up our girl, but I also want to brag on Adri for a moment, because she lost 30 lbs this past year. Doesn’t she look, like, amazing??! To celebrate, I had Robby pick her up every chance I could get and his face never complained! And they’re even sweeter on the inside!! Adriana was telling me all about the prettiest photo places in Puerto Rico – officially added to my travel bucket list!! – and offered to be my insider contact when I come to visit!
