Mississippi Gulf Coast Wedding | MaKenzie + Trey
It’s weddings like MaKenzie & Trey’s that remind me just how lovely our Mississippi Gulf Coast really is. We started off at the South Beach Hotel where Mandy Makeup Artistry was getting the bride and her girls ready. Her mom arrived to help her finish getting dressed and then we went downstairs for a first look with dad that could pull your heartstrings out.
Their families go wayyy back, so even though he’s from Tennessee and they had to do their entire relationship long-distance, they had always known of each other growing up. MaKenzie has nine brothers, and it wasn’t a huge surprise that they were already friends with Trey.
For the couple’s first look, we stopped by a little courtyard in Biloxi and he was already waiting. Sweet words were whispered to each other and the couple got to spend a few private moments together dreaming about their future together.
MaKenzie chose a dusty blue shade for the bridesmaid dresses and those colors perfectly complimented the City Hall where we finished their wedding party portraits. Her dad is a pastor, so it made perfect sense to get married in the church she grew up in. For an extra sentimental touch, their officiant was his uncle.
It was the perfect day and after celebrating this couple at the Gulf Coast Event Center, we drove over to Centennial Plaza to get as many stunning portraits as we could before their drive up to TN – first for a honeymoon and then to stay. The Coast might be a bit bummed about our girl leaving, but all we can be is happy for these two. Congrats sweet friends!
