Kathryn + Mason Wedding| Hewlett Barn, Starkville MS

They’re married!!! What an epic wedding this was! The ten hours they had me for flew by in the flurry of fun. So grateful we have these photos to look back on it all!
The couple planned this wedding themselves. If that wasn’t amazing enough, literally every single detail was planned to perfection. From the watercolor of FPC Starkville printed on the invitation envelope liner to Asian cuisine in to-go boxes at their reception, each thoughtful touch showed their friends and family how deeply they were appreciated.
Kathryn’s sister played a huge role in planning this wedding and their friendship was heartwarming to watch. She handmade the flower girl’s dress over the span of a year. Talk about a labor of love! Kathryn and her sister were both involved in Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality at different times and they absolutely knew how to love their people!
The bride and groom both graduated from Mississippi State and met through their campus ministry. It comes as no surprise that Mason proposed at MSU’s Chapel of Memories. A place that always had sweet memories for them now has unforgettable ones!
Both had been to East Asia on mission trips and had the same country dear to them. No mistaking the oriental influence (think chopsticks and hibachi grill!) at their wedding. I loved their love of the culture.
Before ever going on their first date, Kathryn already knew Mason was “the one”…three-plus years later of patient waiting, this girl got a new last name!!!
MSU games were happening simultaneously as the wedding and they contributed to the festivities. I loved the shot that my awesome second shooter captured of the guys huddled over watching the games on a tiny cell phone. It wasn’t hard to know when we won. The room erupted. (: As the couple was exiting among sparklers, more chants for State burst out. All the best candids right there!
As you’re scrolling, be sure to look for that sweet little moment when Kathryn, Mason, and her dad had their own private air guitar jam session with the band. This couple and their friends know how to DANCE!!
Because these words can’t do their story justice. Let’s let the photos speak. –>
Congratulations, Kathryn + Mason!!! Your wedding was the sweetest and I’m praying your marriage will be as well!! <3
