Joye + Jeremy Engagement Session | Lucedale, MS
When I first started chatting with Joye + Jeremy, I was most struck by their old-school, honest hearts and I absolutely loved how they made their engagement session 100% their own. During our virtual meetup, they were telling me all about their favorite things, and we brainstormed ways to include them all!!
Joye often rides horses at this lovely farm, so she got us the insider pass to get part of our engagement session done there. Jeremy is the car guy so we finished up their session with a vintage Corvette and Camero at his aunt and uncle’s place. It’s the best when couples use their engagement session to tell their story their way and from dad’s rusty bike to grandma-in-heaven’s blanket, that’s exactly what these two did!!
When I asked why the bikes, I got the story at its start. When Jeremy was four and riding his little training wheel scooter, his parents noticed that he was already perfectly balanced, so they took off the extra wheels… and he was all good! The next day when he rode around again, all the other older boys in the neighborhood had all taken off their training wheels, too. Here’s the #influencer before it became a hashtag!! Now, biking together is one of this couple’s favorite things to do! (When he told me, I knew more people needed in on this story. You’re welcome, Jeremy! ;))
After they submitted the wedding questionnaire I send to all my couples, I got so curious about them! Joye grew up in Haiti and she’s currently an amazing elementary teacher in Lucedale. Jeremy travels for work and they’ll soon be embarking on all sorts of adventures together!
I’m a strong believer that things like joy, kindness, and love for God can’t be faked. In that way, Joye and Jeremy are seriously the most real people you will ever meet. Hoping you’ll catch some of their joy(e) looking through these!!!
