I was able to meet Alex and D back in May of 2020 for their engagement session. Such a fun time getting to know them both! They were just really simple, chill people who were stoked to get married. Even throughout their 10-hour-long day, they kept the excitement up all the way to their perfect dip at the very end. 

Alex had the sweetest tribe of girls who literally cried at her bridesmaid’s first look. Then, they surprised her with a gold-framed photo from their bachelorette party together. After that, we grabbed a few STUNNING bridal portraits of Alex in their gorgeous drawing-room before her dad arrived for their first look.  Praying that peacock painting didn’t steal the show! 

Finally, we limo-ed over to the Louisiana State Capitol for the rest of their portraits and Alex & D’s first look. Once photos were completed, we drove to the church to get these two married!! In the backroom, Alex slipped on her cathedral veil (handmade by one of her friends – video of the process on her social media!) and walked down the aisle her last time as a Ms…. #AisleGoWithLadner, right?? 

Since it was cloudy with a chance of rain, their reception at the Shaw Center River Terrace was protected under a tent and elegant drapery. The black and white theme with orchids gave their guests a classy experience that won’t be soon forgotten! So much dancing, so much celebrating, so much happiness for the newlyweds!! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Ladner!!!
