Katherine + Collin Wedding | The Roost Ocean Springs, MS

It’s just the best when the forecast is all wet, but you score perfectly clear skies… on both your ceremony AND reception dates. Not even kidding when I say this wedding was one of a kind. Collin built the triangle backdrop himself, cleaned up their ceremony site, and set up the driftwood trees you’ll see around. From her grandmother’s heirloom diamond ring which was won on a radio show (!!) all the way to the elegantly plated tablescape, there wasn’t a detail out of place. Katherine had always dreamed of an intimate beach wedding and that’s what they did!

On Friday immediately following their ceremony, Collin’s mother had prepared a sumptuous homestyle meal (like 48 hours spent in the kitchen sumptuous). Both their families went around sharing toasts and it seems that all the loving words caused a sudden bout of “allergies.” Do scroll to see. I’m calling bluff. You?

The Saturday after, their family and friends gathered from all across the States to celebrate the couple at The Roost in Ocean Springs. No convincing needed, the party was on the dance floor.

Collin is a full-time firefighter working in Houston so these two braved a long-distance relationship for a part of their relationship. She’ll be moving over in a few weeks! In addition to her human resources job, Katherine was a much-loved instructor at the YMCA here on our Gulf Coast and it almost feels like we’re getting robbed by their move. :’) You guys be sure to come back and visit!
