Jill + Kyle | OLG Church Wedding | Bay St. Louis, MS

Jill + Kyle held their wedding in Bay St. Louis at Our Lady of the Gulf Church right across from the beach – a fact that would become a precious memory.  The morning I arrived at the church, I saw the bride outside. She was staring at the water and as I walked up, she started telling me about her daddy.

Before he passed, he had told her to be reminded of him every time she saw the diamonds over the water. As a special gift from above, the water couldn’t help but sparkle on her most important day. Because of her dad’s battle with Alzheimer’s, Jill chose purple (its awareness color) for her wedding bouquet. Martha with The French Potager even added little blue forget-me-nots throughout that sweetly memorialized the pin with her dad’s photo. Perfection. 

The couple are both devout members of their church and were married by their priest, Fr. Tommy Conway, who also was the mastermind behind their relationship. Kyle had joined him in cleaning up after a storm when their priest proceeded to take a photo and share it with Jill.  Beforehand, she had recorded an intro video on Facebook for their church during the coronavirus lockdown – which Fr. Tommy then proceeded to share with Kyle. He told both of them that the other was “VERY interested”… when in reality they were both quite hesitant. 

But…! One first date later and the rest was history. (:

During their engagement session, Kyle had both of us laughing our heads off. At their first dance, a few tears were shed, but within minutes, Kyle had brought the smile back to her face. #truelove

One unique decor item they had was a unicorn pinata (did I mention they were fun people??). The station was set up for guests to write notes for the couple to pop open to read on their first anniversary. What a fun twist to the traditional guestbook! 

It was a true honor to document this wedding in Bay St. Louis, especially the joy that surrounded this couple and their forever “I do.” Cheering for many, many more anniversaries!!
