Hewlett Barn Multi-Cultural Wedding | Adam + Monica
Hewlett Barn in Starkville, Mississippi hosted Monica + Adam’s multi-cultural wedding celebration with their guests, many of whom came in from all over the country. We had perfect weather all morning, but as their friends and family sat down for a cozy dinner inside, a soft rain shower left us with the most stunning rainbow.
The week before, these two had driven down to the Coast for Monica’s bridal session with me. From the moment I met these two, I knew they were the real deal. They both have such tender hearts and it was a true honor to be allowed to see those hearts on their sleeves.
The bridesmaids wore assorted pastels while the groomsmen matched with complementary ties. To add to the color of their day, the bride surprised everyone by coming out in a saree right after the toasts. When evening came, Monica’s niece gave a present to the couple – her performance of a lyrical piece that drew out even more happy tears.
Adam had done much of the legwork planning this wedding and he later said that while he was up there, he kept trying tabs on where everyone was… but as soon as Monica walked in he forgot everything because she was just so beautiful. Over seventeen years together and these two have only fallen more in love with each other.
And portrait time? Without any prompting, they held hands and ran out onto the wet grass right under their rainbow. Everything was effortless, real, and pure and I was transported to my happy place capturing their joy.
Adam & Monica, thank you for welcoming me into your wedding story and lives. This was a precious chapter in your story and I can’t wait to see how your love will grow even deeper and stronger!
